Ex Tempore is the debut album from the Nova Scotia-based Charke-Cormier duo. Derek Charke (flute) and Eugene Cormier (guitar) have curated a charming program that includes an original composition by Charke (Ex Tempore), arrangements of Handel and Scarlatti by Cormier paired with works by Peter Maxwell Davies and Brazilian-Canadian composer Celso Machado.
Doberman-Yppan (Les Productions d'Oz) from Québec is now the official publisher of the arrangements and compositions for the Charke~Cormier Duo! The first two works have been released: 4 Sonatas by D. Scarlatti and arranged by Eugene Cormier, and Ex Tempore by myself. To purchase the scores click on the images below:

Excited to announce that the Cheng2 Duo will be performing in Halifax on May 13, 2018. Included in their upcoming program is a work that I composed for them through the generous sponsorship of Gaétan Lang entitled Water Flows Serpentine. This is a special composition that is dedicated to Pat Wyman, a much beloved music teacher from Halifax. For tickets and more information visit: https://www.ceciliaconcerts.ca/product/cheng2duo/
