Based on large-scale harmonic motion. The work dates from a period when I was living back in Vancouver and composing many pieces using series of common-note and stepwise chord progressions as a harmonic basis, and minimalistic / cross-over styles as backdrop. Stephen Manes gave the first performance in Slee Hall at the University at Buffalo on February 22, 2002.
